beyond the try line: Celebrating Community Heritage in Rugby
A British Asian Rugby Association Heritage Project
Beyond The Try Line Celebrating Community Heritage in Rugby is a heritage programme delivered by the British Asian Rugby Association (BARA) and supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, made possible by National Lottery players.
The project focuses on identifying, preserving, and sharing the heritage of British Asian involvement in rugby. Through exhibitions, interviews, digital content, publications, events, and educational activity, the project brings to light stories that have often been overlooked or underrepresented.
At its heart, Beyond The Try Line places lived experience, community voice, and intergenerational learning at the centre of heritage. All content produced through this programme will be free to access and share for non-commercial educational and community use, ensuring a lasting public legacy.
