Beyond the Try Line: Celebrating a New Educational Partnership as part of the national lottery heritage project

Beyond the Try Line: Celebrating 20 Years of British Asian Rugby Association with a New Educational Partnership

Had a fantastic meeting with Gareth Walker, founder of Literacy Kicks. A sports journalist, Gareth is exceptional at using the power of sport to inspire learning. Literacy Kicks is one of the key educational pillars of the Social Impact Programme, using sport as a theme to engage young people in reading and writing by taking them inside the world of sports journalism.

Together, we’re developing a literacy based project for primary schools as part of the National Lottery Heritage Project that will bring BARA’s heritage, values, and stories to life through creativity and curiosity.

This collaboration reflects what BARA stands for going beyond the try line to unite communities, educate, inspire, and create lasting impact.

Thanks to Julia Lee for the fabulous support and guidance with the project.
