Young people from North Kirklees were treated to an unforgettable experience, attending the thrilling Super League showdown between the Huddersfield Giants RLFC and London Broncos Rugby League.
This special outing was made possible through a unique collaboration involving British Asian Rugby Association C.I.C, The Rugby Football League, Huddersfield Giants RLFC, the 20:20 Foundation, One Community Foundation Kirklees and the Big Local.
For many of the children and their parents, it marked their first time witnessing a live rugby league match, and they couldn’t have chosen a better game. The atmosphere was electric, with both teams delivering a gripping performance that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. In a dramatic finish, the Giants secured a victory to the delight of the home crowd.
Adding to the excitement, the young attendees had the chance to meet Giants legends Leroy Cudjoe and Harry Rushton, as well as Huddersfield MP Harpreet Uppal and Cllr Yusra Hussain.
The club’s generosity in creating such memorable moments didn’t go unnoticed.
A special thank you to Giants Ambassador, Cllr Masood Ahmed, whose efforts and hospitality made this incredible day possible.
